I’ve lived in Mississauga for my entire life. I have explored as much of the city as I can. This map covers 10 of my favourite cafes and restaurants in Mississauga including Starbucks, Second Cup and independent restaurants. I’ve been to most of the Starbucks locations in Mississauga, so I thought I would showcase my favourites.
It’s amazing that in 2013 I still see things like this. I guess it’s up to us to help people learn what being gay actually means.
On September 20th, 2013, I had the chance to attend WeDay at the Air Canada Centre. WeDay is a celebration that beings a year-long effort of global action among youth.
Free the Children is a non-profit organization that helps children in Africa. Me to We encourages youth to be socially active. Both organizations come together to host WeDay. This year, WeDay featured multiple celebrities, including Commander Chris Hadfield, Darren Criss, Demi Lovato and Serena Ryder.
I’ve noticed that this warm weather has resulted in a few more bikes at the bike rack, which I like to see! Owning a car is expensive and unattainable for many students. Bicycles offer a quick, efficient way to get to school, while maintaining environmental sustainability, especially if you live close to school.
Personally, I think it can be even faster to ride a bicycle to school because it’s easier to bypass morning traffic!
